We have an appointment with the Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Robert Zlotecki, on Monday afternoon. At that appointment, we expect to discuss the long term treatment plan, set Jeremy up for radiation therapy (markings, discuss how it will be done, side effects, etc), and establish his radiation schedule.
The waiting to begin radiation is difficult. But, in a conversation with God early this morning, he revealed to me that we are not waiting and doing nothing. God's already begun. Yes, we are waiting on the portion of this battle under our control to begin (with weapons of this world), but thankfully God started working long ago, we're just aware now.
So, this morning, and every morning, we put on the whole armor of God and join the spiritual battle already begun, with confidence in knowing God has WON. "...For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil..." Satan will not overcome us with fearful thoughts and lies.
Jeremy and I continue to be overwhelmed by the support of our friends and family. Thank you, first and foremost for the prayers, for the dinners, for the conversations of support.
Matthew's school is hosting a Parent's Night Out tonight. Matthew and Ava will enjoy pizza and a movie, while Jeremy and I enjoy a dinner and time alone together. We are thankful for so much. Especially that he feels healthy today and we will savor our date tonight. :)
